Lectern Podiums
Presentation lecterns are centrally located within the courtrooms and are equipped with a microphone, HDMI inputs and a document camera to facilitate presentation of evidence to the courtroom.
HDMI Audio/Video Inputs
HDMI (male) video inputs can be found at each attorney table, presentation lectern and witness box. These inputs can transmit both audio and video to the courtroom. Some devices may require an adapter to provide a HDMI female connection, but the court cannot provide adapters for every possible device, so attorneys must provide their own adapters. Please make arrangements with the Case Manger to test your device in advance of scheduled hearings or trials.
Touchscreen Annotation
Touchscreen Annotators are located at the presentation podiums, witness stand and the judge's bench. Annotators allow for markup to be added in real time to evidence displayed on screens within the courtroom. Please note that the use of a pen, stylus or any other device on the touch screens is prohibited to avoid damage.
Evidence Camera
Evidence cameras are located at presentation lecterns. These are capable of displaying physical evidence including documents, photographs, negatives, x-rays or 3D objects. Evidence is displayed to screens throughout the courtoom and available for annotation. Document cameras feature an overhead light and zoom capabilities.
Video Conferencing
Courtrooms are equipped with the latest video conferencing equipment to allow participants to attend proceedings remotely when necessary. Participants join via Zoom and are shown on displays throughout the room. Participants receive a live audio and video feed from the courtroom.
Translation Equipment
Headsets are provided as a way to make language barriers or hearing problems less obtrusive for persons coming into our court. Headsets have 2 channels: they receive audio directly from the interpreter but can also serve to amplify the volume of the courtroom when needed. There are typically ten headsets available in each courtroom.
Video
Evidence and video conference participants can be viewed on monitors throughout the courtrooms. Courtrooms feature 2 displays at each attorney table, a screen for each juror or pair of jurors, depending upon the courtroom, personal screens for the witness box and judge's bench and large screens for the gallery, jury and courtroom at large.
Audio
Each courtroom is outfitted with numerous microphones, including two at each attorney table. Additional microphones throughout the room record audio which is played through the room speakers in real time. Additionally, 3.5mm headphone connections are available at each attorney table.
