  • Media Guidelines
  • Advance Registration for Media Room
Beginning April 27, 2009, the Court will provide a Media Room furnished with some tables to accommodate laptops. Access to the Media Room during the trial will only be granted via advanced registration by each media person. In order to register, complete the Media Request Form prior to the beginning of trial.

If your registration is accepted, the court will contact you so that you can retrieve your court media pass. Entering the courthouse during the trial with your court media pass and media credentials (with photo ID) will permit you access to the media room and permission to bring in one laptop and one cell phone. Cell phones and laptops must remain in the Media Room at all times and may not be used in the trial courtroom, overflow courtroom, hallways, or other rooms in the courthouse. Any additional persons from your organization wishing to access the Media Room must register separately.
  • Wireless Internet Access
Public wireless Internet access will be available to the media in the Media Room during the trial. The key to the Internet will be provided to the credentialed media person who has preregistered with the court. Remember, laptops and cell phones will not be allowed in the courthouse and Media Room unless prior access is granted through the Media Request Form.

†All cell phones, cameras, laptops, and any type of recording device are prohibited in the courthouse with one exception. Media persons, who have applied for and received a court media pass, may bring in one cell phone and one laptop to be used in the media room only. Media persons must present their media credentials (with photo ID) along with the court media pass before entry with a cell phone and laptop is permitted.
